Ryan Haight Bill
The Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act of 2008 went in to effect April 14th, 2009. eClinicMD is not an online pharmacy, nor can medications be ordered or obtained from eClinicMD.
ECMD schedules and coordinates in-person physician consultations/examinations and provides administrative services for physicians within our network of providers. Your treatment with any eClinicMD physician will begin with an in-person physical examination and complete history and physical documentation, as well as a thorough review of your past diagnostic testing and previous treatment plans. If the physician deems it medically necessary, you will receive a valid prescription issued in the usual course of professional practice by a licensed physician.
After the valid "doctor/patient" relationship is established, your doctor may choose utilize telemedicine or other means of communication, including but not limited to teleconference, for continued treatment. You may see a summary of H.R 6353, the Ryan Haight Act, by clicking here.
